ABOUT

Meet Marliese Marie

Once upon a time, I was a little girl who wanted to be an artist when she grew up.  I don’t finger paint or draw ponies anymore, but I do photograph people. Each moment I spend as an artist reaffirms my passion for this work. Each of my subjects is so unique, so full of light, beauty, and energy, and so worth celebrating: from the tiny humans, brimming with imagination and life, to their adult counterparts, who bring talent, wit, and enthusiasm to every one of my sets – they are the stars of this show.

I have provided visual content for digital marketing clientele and talent agencies for 14 years. With a Master’s degree in digital media marketing and extensive experience with campaign creation, from art direction to image production, I am confident in the skillset I bring to any creative team. I also really like flamingos.

Florida is my home, however I work in several major commercial and film markets within the US. New York and Atlanta are each a ‘home away from home’, with travel sessions scheduled several times each year.

I have been published both nationally and internationally, travelled to four countries (and counting) for assignments, and have had the honor of teaching workshops alongside some of my very favorite professionals in my field.

…and if I’m completely honest, on the very best days we do still finger-paint, and occasionally there are still ponies. My work is one of the greatest joys of my life.

client Education

I have authored an online workshop and supplemental workbook designed to help actors and models prepare for headshot sessions, including a guide on what to wear, hair and makeup styling tips, and exercises for practicing expressions.

While not required, I strongly recommend that all headshot clients complete the self-paced workshop and the worksheets included in the workbook prior to arriving at the studio.

The video instruction portion of the workshop is conversational and light-hearted, appropriate for all ages. A selection of downloadable worksheets are also included with the workshop. The workbook is an optional add-on that includes all the PDFs from the workshop as well as additional worksheets to grow your headshot skills!

If you’ve ever been unsure of what to bring to a session or lacked confidence in your ability to take great photos, this workshop is for you!

Marliese spills the beans on what to wear, different types of headshots, hair & makeup, and more. It's like having your very own personal headshot coach!

MY STUDIO

I run a primarily natural light studio based in downtown Mount Dora, Florida, about 35 minutes from Orlando. With a full makeup station, a wardrobe area complete with a selection of studio wardrobe, a wide variety of backdrops and lighting equipment available, and great outdoor locations within walking distance, my studio is my favorite place to meet talent for sessions. My team and I specialize in developing portfolios for talent, both adults and kids, and have close working relationships with acting and modeling agencies in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, and Orlando.

FAQ

I have several package options available to fit a variety of talent development needs. I offer standard sessions for commercial talent and actors as well as fashion sessions for models. Packages and booking information can be found here:  PACKAGE OPTIONS

I think the best testament to my work is seeing my clients go on to find success in the industry. My clients consistently sign with great agencies, as well as book jobs for GAP Kids, Ralph Lauren, HSN, Disney, Lowes, Disney Cruise Lines, Universal, Universal Orlando Resort, Bealls, Publix, National Restaurant Association, etc. I have also had several clients book on Broadway and in feature films.

I began working in this industry as a model and actor myself, and can offer 14 years’ worth of insight into what it is like working on each side of the camera. My experience also allows me to coach new talent through poses and expressions in a way that makes sessions fun and relaxed while also creating highly marketable images.

Yes! I develop portfolios for all ages, from babies to seniors. I ask that children be old enough to sit unassisted before visiting me for a photo session, and can offer age-appropriate recommendations on ensuring our session goes smoothly at any age. Session length can be an important factor for young children, if you are unsure which package will be most appropriate for your child based on temperament and attention span you are always welcome to reach out to me via email.

As soon as possible! My schedule typically fills a month or more in advance. You can take a look at my current available appointments below. Please note, if you are signed with MMG you will need to book your session directly through your talent manager so that they may coordinate details with me directly, rather than using the form below.

Yes. Once we agree on a date and time that works for us both, a deposit will be required to secure your appointment time. Sessions that are rescheduled due to inclement weather or illness will retain their deposit value, however deposits are not refunded for cancelled sessions. No-show appointments will not be rescheduled. If you are ready to book your shoot, email me at marliesecarmona@gmail.com to confirm session date and package information before submitting a deposit.

I typically travel to other markets several times a year. New York and Atlanta are my most common destinations: follow me on Instagram to find up-to-date travel notices for these locations and others. If you don’t see your location posted, you are always welcome to drop me a line with suggestions for other markets to add to my calendar.

Absolutely! I encourage the use of a full team whenever possible on my shoots, as I feel it positively impacts the quality of the final product. I am happy to provide referrals for professionals I trust to deliver an agency quality product.

My turnaround for proofs is two weeks. Final retouched selections are typically delivered in 1-2 weeks. I offer rush delivery for proofs and final retouched files at an additional fee. I also offer an ‘instant’ proofing option that further expedites the process of receiving images; instant proofing must be requested in advance to allow appropriate time blocking.

No, all my proof galleries and final retouched images will be delivered digitally. Many agencies are using digital images more and more in their submission process, through the adoption of services such as Casting Networks; however, talent may find they still receive requests for printed materials. I am happy to recommend an agency-standard printer that can assist with formatting and printing quality headshots and comp cards.
